In cooperation with Operation Blessingand Melo Mexico, we have recently begun helping fund and distribute water filters in areas where clean drinking water is difficult to obtain, especially for underprivileged families. In the villages where we work, kidney failure rates are some of the highest in Mexico, so clean water projects are a high priority for us. We are also looking into encouraging healthier and sustainable lifestyles within these communities through community gardens, which would provide fresh produce to both eat and sell.
